Jan. 26, 2011 - PRLog -- bidStart - the Collectible Marketplace, has announced that, as of February 1, 2011 the service will no longer charge listing fees for any of its listings in any of its varied categories.

The new fee structure substantially simplifies bidStart’s pricing structure by eliminating listing fees and instead charging a slightly-increased final value fee. Overall bidStart expects to take in 5% less fees under the new structure than the previous pricing. Additionally they anticipate a growth in higher quantity and quality of listings as previously sellers would limit such items to avoid listing fees. The move should also prove appealing to many potential new sellers interested in trying out the service as they’ll now be able to enjoy a pay-as-you-go experience.

The move is already garnering rave reviews from many of their existing customers who where concerned that listing fees would limit their options and keep new sellers from joining the service. “No up-front fees definitely makes things a lot simpler”, said Jim Haack of antiquepapershop. Stamp seller Ralph Huggler of Ralph’s Room stated, “It means I can keep a larger inventory in my store and a bigger selection for the buyer. Thank you for the restructure. Final value fees are reasonable too. Looks like a win, win.”
