Follow on Google News | Ask A Vet-A Seminar in Honor of Spay Day 2011In Honor of Spay Day 2011, Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter will host a free seminar, "Ask A Vet". The seminar is open to the community and will address pet care, problems and concerns.
By: Suzanne Griffin Dr. Andrea Antonelli from Vet Center of Morris County will be on hand to offer advice and information on pet care, problems and issues. Ever since she was a little girl, Dr. Antonelli has had a profound love for animals and always dreamed of helping them. She was born and raised in Parsippany, NJ. Dr. Antonelli received her undergraduate degree from Loyola College in Maryland in 1998 and a Master's of Science degree from The Ohio State University in 2003. After her Masters degree, Dr. Antonelli received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University. Following Vet school, Dr. Antonelli tooki a position in NY state at a small animal practice before joining the staff at Vet Center of Morris County in East Hanover. She currently lives in Boonton, NJ with her three large parrots Rita, Tiki and Calypso and her dog, Lia. Complimentary refreshments and door prizes will also add to the event. Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter is located at 194 Route 10 West, East Hanover behind Petsmart and is a no kill, nonprofit animal welfare organization that is 100% privately funded. The organization provides exceptional care for homeless animals while promoting spaying/neutering, microchipping and humane education. Mt. Pleasant's mission is to place homeless cats and dogs in permanent, loving homes. The Shelter is open to the public for adoptions Tuesday & Thursday from 12-7, Wednesday and Friday from 12-4 and Saturday and Sunday from 12-5.
