Brett DiNovi, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, CEO of Brett DiNovi & Associates will facilitate a workshop entitled: Positive Behavior Support in Schools: Preventing Bullying. This workshop is intended for teachers, school administrators and parents that educate general education and special education students. The majority of behavior problems in schools can be handled at the systemic level of intervention rather than by dozens of individual behavior intervention plans potentially conflicting with each other within the same classroom. Parents are more frequently requesting functional behavior assessments (FBA)’s and individualized interventions. This should only be needed if school-wide and classroom intervention systems are ineffective. 30% of students are victims or perpetrators of bullying often which may also be intervened by Positive Behavior Support models (PBS) in schools. This workshop offers school personnel with practical and empirically validated methods of implementing PBS at three levels within schools: individual student, classroom systems, and school-wide procedures.
