A recruitment consultancy will be sharing some of the industry’s best kept secrets at an event in Bath, which will help jobseekers to secure exciting new opportunities.

Professional CV preparation, interview techniques, presentation skills and how social media can affect your chances of job offer, are just some of the areas that will be explored by Sulis Recruitment at a free seminar on Wednesday 16th February.

Working with clients and candidates in Bath, Swindon, and Bristol, Sulis Recruitment are hosting the event at their office at 1 Queen Square from 6pm – 7.30pm.  They have a number of job opportunities that they will also be bringing to this event.

As well as advice on CVs, preparing for interviews and interview techniques, Sulis Recruitment will be exploring the changes to job seeking that social media has brought about and how candidates can embrace this change to stand out from the crowd.  The main pitfalls which lead to candidates being unsuccessful will also be explored.

Victoria Brooks, Managing Director of Sulis Recruitment said, “Competition is fierce in the job market right now and candidates need to work hard just to get to interview.  We want to show them how to ensure that their CV is at the top of the pile, with the most important information jumping out at a potential employer.  Having succeeded in reaching the interview stage, we will give them hints and tips on how best to prepare and then excel on the day.”

Sulis Recruitment report that that many candidates let themselves down at interview due to their lack of knowledge on the company.  Research into a business and the post itself is vital in applying for any job, but an interview is a time to ensure that this knowledge is conveyed concisely.

The movements in social media have also affected recruitment with prospective candidates being explored on Linked In, Facebook and Twitter.  In the public domain, photos and comments are often noted when ascertaining a candidate’s suitability.

Victoria continued, “Candidates have to work hard to stand out from the crowd.  Those who attend this event will put their application above candidates who have perhaps just emailed their CV to us.  They can register on the evening and discuss our current employment opportunities, so those that we have met are more likely to be put forward for interview to the companies that we work with, as we better understand their skills and strengths.”

If you would like to attend this event, please email vbrooks@sulisrecruitment.com

Attendees should bring their CV along on the night and everyone who attends will receive a voucher to have their CV appraised for free.

For further information, or if you are interested in registering with Sulis Recruitment but are unable to attend this event, please contact vbrooks@sulisrecruitment.com  or call 01225 904700.
