The Apple iPhone 3GS was sold in two colours up until then, white and black. Apple announced that that will be no change with regard to the colours between the two phones, although they differed massively when it comes to features. The Apple iPhone 4 was initially sold in the black colour and it was reported that the white colour would be made available within a few months. However, almost a year has passed since the Apple iPhone 4 has been launched, but still there was no evidence of the white iPhone 4 arriving.

It has become so long since the official release from the company regarding the launch of the white iPhone 4 that many people are starting to think of it as a marketing ploy from the company in order to boost the sales for the black iPhone 4. The iPhone 3GS looked spectacular in the white colour and it was the main reason why people craved for the white iPhone 4 to finally arrive. It seems that their prayers have been answered and Apple are finally going to launch the Apple iPhone 4 in the white colour. Technically, the phone will not be any different from the current black iPhone and it is going to be enhanced only in the looks department and nothing else. One of the main pluses for the Apple iPhone 4 is the extremely slim body and even though the black colour looks good on it, it will get a totally new look when it is available in the white colour.

The phone will be having the same 3.5 inch touch screen display and there are suggestions that the display could actually better when used in combination with the white body, although such baseless suggestions have been dismissed by the company. Many claim that the delay of the launch of this new colour in the iPhone is a deliberate attempt from the company in order to boost the sales later in the life cycle of the product. Apple is now facing stiff competition from other manufacturers and this new colour could just induct a massive boost into the sales. It is still not clear why Apple delayed the launch of the product when it is only the matter of adding a new colour to it.

The Apple iPhone 4 in the white colour will be made officially available in the United Kingdom from next month onwards. Even if it does not make it by then, March seems to be the next likeliest date for its launch. Already there are a number of operators who are queuing up to offer their contracts for this new phone from Apple. Vodafone and T-Mobile are the chief among them and expect it to be priced slightly higher the black iPhone 4 simple because of the exclusivity that the new phone offers.
