Cinnabar Winery Appoints Tasting Room Manager

Saratoga, California (January 24, 2011) — Cinnabar Winery has appointed Aaron Hughes to the position of tasting room manager. Hughes had been the assistant manager of the Cinnabar tasting room since it opened in 2007, and has five additional years of wine-industry experience.

Hughes worked at Colvin Vineyards in Walla Walla, Washington from 2001 to 2006, managing the tasting room and assisting the winemaker in the cellar. During that same period, he gained real-time lessons in viticulture from his grandparents, Pat and LeaAnn Hughes, the owners of a 1996 4.3-acre syrah planting called Patina Vineyards. His training also includes sommelier certification from the Professional Culinary Institute of California in Campbell.

“Aaron’s responsibilities have expanded in proportion to the success of the tasting room, and his superior customer relations and management skills warrant this promotion,” said Cinnabar President Suzanne Frontz.

A Sunnyvale resident, Hughes has already won the hearts of his staff as well as his customers. “I like to have fun while getting the job done,” said Hughes, “and I am somewhat of a consumer advocate as I balance the concerns of the customer against those of the company.”

The Cinnabar Winery Tasting Room is located at 14612 Big Basin Way, Saratoga, CA 95070 (408.867.1012, info@cinnabarwinery.com).
