Jan. 25, 2011 - PRLog -- Atlanta based Georgia Entertainment Association (GEA) has officially partnered with the world renowned ASCAP Organization for a series of Entertainment Industry Inspired Events designed for the Entertainment Industry's current and established professionals as well as those aspiring to become professionals in the Entertainment Industry. Georgia Entertainment Association (GEA) was created exclusively for those who work in the film, television, theater, sports, music, support, and digital entertainment community who live and/or work in the state of Georgia.

The Georgia Entertainment Association (GEA) provides career advancement opportunities to Georgia based entertainment industry professionals by offering executive-leadership development, educational workshops, seminars, mentoring and networking opportunities within the industry.

The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) is a membership association of more than 400,000 U.S. composers, songwriters, lyricists, and music publishers of every kind of music. Through agreements with affiliated international societies, ASCAP also represents hundreds of thousands of music creators worldwide. ASCAP is the only U.S. performing rights organization created and controlled by composers, songwriters and music publishers, with a Board of Directors elected by and from the membership.

The Georgia Entertainment Association (GEA) and The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) has decided to collectively collaborate with one another in order to provide a vast array of  networking connections to entertainment Industry professionals within the Georgia area. Both entities retain board of directors that assist in the operations, management and overview for the companies. Georgia Entertainment Association has a board of directors that consists of long time industry professionals such as top A&R Exec. and CEO Freddy Cameron, CEO and Executive Producer Autumn Bailey, Attorney Bernard H.Coleman Jr,, Capital Creed's Larry Small, CEO Geron Coleman of EES Media, as well as 4 time Grammy Award winning songwriter and producer Manuel Seal Jr. The Board of Directors for the American Society of Composers or (ASCAP) consists of numerous songwriters, composers and publishers within the Entertainment Industry.

The Georgia Entertainment Association (GEA) will host its next "IN THE MIX" Networking Mixer on February 10,2011. The previous events brought more than 1,200 industry professionals together to network and exchange contacts.
