Jan. 25, 2011 - PRLog -- TULSA, OK—The first half of the year is the season for home shows, and 2011 is proving to be a milestone for those featuring manufactured housing. Following the successful Louisville Manufactured Housing Show in Kentucky, work is underway to bring the return of another event featuring the economy and innovations of the industry to Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Closing the Convention Center doors of the Kentucky Exposition Center behind him, MHMSM.com Publisher L.A. 'Tony' Kovach headed for Oklahoma to meet with the team doing the groundwork for a successful event in that state.

“This is the world’s largest indoor manufactured housing event, and it promises to be one of the best yet,” Kovach says, adding that making it great requires intricate planning. “When you have some 30 homes and 50 booths, plus seminars, contests, incentives and much more, you have to plan for everything—that includes onsite registration, traffic flow, timing, security, ease of set-up and more.”

Kovach says extensive promotions, including online campaigns, are being coordinated to create interest and drive traffic to specific segments of the show.

Show Coordinator Deanna Fields, who also serves as executive director of the Manufactured Housing Association of Oklahoma (MHAO), adds that mailers, phone outreach and other elements are being designed to attract hundreds of returning and first-time industry professionals to this top-notch event. More than 1,000 from the industry are expected to attend.

Show Committee Chair Doug Gorman of Home Mart, Inc., expects the Great Southwest Home Show to become the manufactured housing industry’s largest and best- attended industry event. That's due to a combination of factors, including superior lodging opportunities, affordable and convenient transportation and acres of free parking.
