Jan. 24, 2011 - PRLog -- The Organization of Legal Professionals, a nonprofit industry group that includes some of the most respected e-discovery and litigation support thought leaders in the field, announced today that David  Werblow, Corporate Counsel for e-Discovery at T-Mobile USA, Inc., has joined the OLP’s Board of Governors. As a member of the Board, Werblow will assist the organization with its initiatives to promote excellence and accountability among legal services providers by establishing e-discovery and litigation support standards and certifications.

“I am passionate about e-discovery education and certification,” said Werblow. “Membership in the OLP’s Board of Governors allows me the opportunity to work with a stellar group of professionals with the same goals and objectives.”

In addition to overseeing e-discovery at T-Mobile, Werblow serves as an instructor in the trend-setting Electronic Discovery Management program conducted at the University of Washington Professional and Continuing Education.  Before joining T-Mobile, he was a staff lawyer in the e-Discovery Analysis and Technology group at K&L Gates, where he managed intensive discovery efforts and provided advice and support on every aspect of discovery, from litigation readiness to preservation, through collection, review and production of documents.  He received his J.D. from the University of Minnesota, and his B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.

“David’s background in e-discovery education is a tremendous asset to our board,” said Chere Estrin, chair of the OLP’s Board of Directors.  “His assessment of our education and certification programs will enhance their quality and relevance to the legal community.”

The OLP will administer its first e-discovery certification exam this Fall. To learn more about the OLP’s e-discovery and litigation support education and certification programs, follow this link: http://www.theolp.org/Default.aspx?pageId=577146.
