Non-profit credit counseling specialist InCharge® Debt Solutions recently completed another shoot for O2 Media’s hit morning TV show “The Balancing Act.” The segment, which features InCharge® President of Consumer Awareness Etta Money, will air as part of the show’s 13-week “Money 411” series on January 26th at 7:00 am (ET/PT) on Lifetime Television. The focus of this episode is household budgeting, including how to reach financial goals, create a viable spending plan, and organize banking records.
Money encourages women to compare their household income with expenses and write a budget plan that is sensible and achievable. To help viewers with this process, Etta recommends the “home budget calculator tool” at http://InCharge.org. She also urges women to read the fine print on home and credit card bills to avoid surprises that could affect their goals.
“Remember, there are no shortcuts to life’s achievements,”
InCharge® offers creditor negotiation, debtor education, debt management programs, and debt repayment planning. Their non-profit status allows them to provide certified debt assistance for very low cost, with many of their counseling services offered for free. To date they have provided relief and education to over one million debt-stressed consumers, including free services to Habitat for Humanity and Goodwill clients throughout the year.
“Having Etta Money from InCharge® Debt Solutions on the show has brought yet another great solution to women, one that will have a real impact, and help them balance their lives,” says Doug Campbell, Founder and Executive VP of Programming for The Balancing Act. “This is the essence of solutions-based programming, and we are proud that we could bring this information to our viewers.”
