Follow on Google News | Bee Mobile releases a new version of iPackA package of .NET Compact Framework GUI components designed specially for Windows Mobile and Windows CE devices.
By: Bee Mobile "We have been focusing on collecting feedback from our customers in the last months in an effort to improve our products and increase their stability, usability and portability.." The trial version has been improved as well. It no longer displays nagging message boxes but rather displays a simple text over the surface of the components. Thanks to that it is much more elegant to present a project prototype to potential customers with the trial version. The application is not interrupted with the message boxes and is therefore more fluent. The other considerable improvement is Windows CE support. All the components except of RegionControl now run on Windows CE. A new static property - UseManagedGradient must be turned on if the operating system is missing the native GradientFill API function. Other improvements include: ProgressBar component supports transparency - it can be rendered semi-transparent. RoundTextBox component has been re-written from the scratch. It is now completely written in managed code and it can be rendered semi-transparent. TransparentControls now contain static properties used to assign images to them. This helps to conserve memory. TouchList and TouchListLite can load PNG images from byte array - useful when images are loaded from a database or from web.
