Security Pekahia comes to life in the 21st Century at www.vonforell.com German Shepherds

Von Forell and Von Kaiserhof invested in the future of the Australian Working Dog
Breeding program by uniting and preserving the frozen semen of Security Pekahia
“Norse”.

Many live matings using Norse produced outstanding dogs, therefore we
decided his semen would remain on ice until a truly exemplary (purpose bred) bitch
was produced that would most compliment such a prestigious sire.

Norse (bloodline) was the cornerstone of the elite working dogs throughout the 80’s
and 90’s and beyond. His ability as a pre potent producer was recognised by some
astute government departments who quickly snapped up his puppies. Sergeant John
Murray from the NSW Police South West Region (K-9 Division) was a man with vision;
John benefited from Norses progeny with 14 Norse sons working alongside his
dedicated fellow police officers throughout NSW. Some progeny was exported back
to Europe which in turn improved working service dogs of the time.

At his peak Norse progeny numbered 35 government working service dogs, including Europe.Von Forell has made it a mission to prepare females within our lines that compliment the stud dogs we have in our frozen semen bank. This forethought and planning has resulted in the bitches produced by Von Forell’s ‘F’ litter; most notable amongst these are Von Forell Ferna and Von Forell Flori. Von Forell Flori is a truly powerful
animal who was artificially inseminated to Security Pekahia.

Security Pekahia was mated to Flori Von Forell (AI) on the 29th of August 2010,
successfully whelping healthy Bi-Colour males.

One male will be allocated to Von Forell’s national and international partners to
further develop the global gene pool.

The others remain with Von Forell Kennels and will continue to make a key genetic
contribution to the Australian breeding programme.
