10% of all sales on Feb. 25 will sponsor the best and brightest Peruvian university graduates to enter the classrooms in vulnerable and unprivileged areas in Lima to teach and inspire thousands of children attending public school. Additional donations will be taken at the store and are tax deductible in the US.
http://www.EnsenaPeru.org is a member of Teach for All and follows the successful model of Teach For America, in which well-trained university graduates work full-time for two years going above and beyond traditional expectations to help their students achieve at high levels in key subjects such as math and communications. The goal for 2011 is to hire 67 teachers to impact 5,300 elementary school students.
