Puyallup, Wash – Jan 20, 2011 -  The renovation of the Holiday Inn Express Puyallup is complete.   The renovation began in January and encompasses the entire hotel.  

A celebration of the entirely new hotel took place this past July.  At the event the hotel was christened by breaking a bottle of champagne on the front of the hotel.  The evening’s festivities also included a ribbon cutting by Puyallup City Mayor, Kathy Turner.  

Top to bottom, inside and out the Hollander Hotel Group who owns the Holiday Inn Express Puyallup spent about 1.3 million dollars revamping the property.  

The outside was painted, lobby completely refurnished in fresh new colors, the breakfast room overhauled and the guest rooms redone in warm, welcoming colors.  The guest rooms have updated carpet, 42” flat screen Televisions, curtains, furniture and new vanities in the bathrooms to name a few of the details.  

With all the new changes the hotel still has many old favorites like the in-room DVD players and lending library as well as 24 hour cookies.  

Other changes are a new 24 hour market with snacks and beverages to cure any late night cravings and a new business center.  The hotel still offers guests complimentary access to Bally Total Fitness and added an onsite fitness center.  

The Hollanders also own the Best Western Park Plaza in Puyallup and the Tacoma Courtyard by Marriott.  They have also begun building a Fairfield Inn by Marriott in Puyallup opening summer 2011.  They are also working to develop a hotel project on the Thea Foss Waterway in Tacoma.
