Follow on Google News | Kiddie Junction of Myrtle Beach to Host Guard-A-Kid Child ID EventKiddie Junction Offers Guard-A-Kid Child ID service to parents Wednesday, February 16, 2011
By: Guard-A-Kid At the event a Guard-A-Kid Child Safety Specialist will photograph, fingerprint, measure, weigh, and compile other identifying information on participating children in order to produce a package for their parents that includes two wallet IDs, a file ID, a CD-ROM with all the ID information in electronic form, along with Moblie Child ID, which enables parents to carry and transfer information with their phones. Having both printed and electronic IDs readily available with accurate and complete information, including all ten fingerprints, is highly recommended by law enforcement. According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children someone's child goes missing every 40 seconds. The first 3 hours are crucial for a safe return. However, it takes more than 2 hours to gather accurate and complete information from a panicked parent. Guard-A-Kid's complete Child ID packages gives parents a ready resource and peace of mind. Todd Cromer, owner of Guard-A-Kid Myrtle Beach-Grand Strand, who also serves as a Child Safety Specialist, says Ms. Hemingway understands the importance of being prepared and should be commended for her proactive approach to child safety and her concern for children, their families, and our community. KIddie Junction is centrally located at 2103 Cromley Circle off of 21st Avenue North in Myrtle Beach.
