CampusEAI Consortium Releases myCampus myMessages Desktop Widget

Jan. 20, 2011 - PRLog -- CLEVELAND - CampusEAI Consortium today announced the availability of the new myCampus myMessages Desktop Widget, an application that streams information from the myCampus portal directly onto users' desktops.

The myCampus myMessages Desktop Widget provides real time access to alerts and announcements published through the myCampus myMessages feature, which was developed to centralize and streamline the communication process within the campus community and keep students, faculty, and other constituents aware of important information, including:
•   Schedule changes and closings
•   Class and event cancellations
•   Weather advisories
•   Traffic Notices

myMessages gives myCampus administrators the ability to delegate administration to authorized users and the ability to syndicate alerts and announcements from enterprise applications including:
•   SunGard  Banner
•   Blackboard

The myCampus myMessages Desktop Widget is available in myCampus 7 for the Mac OS  platform.  Support for the Microsoft  Windows  platform is targeted for release in 7.1.

The myCampus myMessages Desktop Widget will be available in myCampus 7 and later versions. myCampus 7 is the latest release of the widely implemented myCampus Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Web 2.0 platform and is anticipated to be available on January 25, 2011.
