" Local businesses support our community in so many ways, giving us great places to shop and eat, reducing environmental impact and creating jobs", states Chris Schwab of The Van Dyk Group and First Vice President of the Chamber. " Marketplace shoppers go away with alot of information about their neighborhood businesses that they cannot get anywhere else." Supporting businesses by taking advantage of buying your treasures locally within the Long Beach Island Region has been an ongoing campaign kicked off before last year's holiday season.
In addition to great products to buy and services to survey; shoppers will have their choice of plenty to eat with the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce serving up snacks and lunch specials. The Marketplace will be open from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm at St Mary’s Parish Center on Bishop Lane, directly off of Mckinely Avenue in Manahawkin. For more information contact the chamber office at 609 494 7211. Drop by or spend the day, there is no entrance fee or cost to enter any of the drawings.
