Ameritas Group Completes Shoot for O2 Media’s TV Show 'The Balancing Act' Set to Air this Month

Dental insurance provider and group plan administrator Ameritas Group recently completed their shoot for O2 Media’s hit morning TV show “The Balancing Act.”  The segment, which features Karen Gustin, Senior Vice President, will air as part of the January 26th show at 7:00 am (ET/PT) on Lifetime Television.  Gustin reveals a startling link between dental care and overall wellness, and discusses the importance of preventive oral care to good health.

According to the American Academy of Periodontology, gum disease has been linked to cardio-vascular problems, respiratory disease, and even diabetes.  Gum disease can easily be prevented with regular visits to the dentist, but many people who don’t have insurance forego proper preventive care.  In fact, people without dental insurance are 2.5 times less likely to visit a dentist yearly, a statistic that Ameritas Group intends on changing with their affordable individual and family plans.
