HolidayCheck.com teams up with Education Togo to help build a school in Africa!

The travel portal HolidayCheck announces its latest co-operation with the non-profit organization, Education Togo. Education Togo has a simple yet ambitious goal: To build a school in Skode, Togo! HolidayCheck wants to help with their fundraising!

Jan. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Togo is the second largest town in Togo (Africa), a country where education is often reserved for boys, since its cost doesn’t always allow the families to send both girls and boys. The community supported by Education Togo currently has no secondary school, and so with support from the local community, Education Togo would like to change this! The building work on the school must start in February in order for it to be finished before the rainy season begins. For this reason the 15,000€ required for the project needs to be raised as soon as possible.

HolidayCheck will be helping Education Togo to fundraise with the help of its users and its Facebook fanpage. Any user can help, but how?

• Since the 5th of January HolidayCheck will donate 1€ for each hotel review written for the Education Togo cause. Users need to enter their review under this link: Write a hotel review

• Those visiting the fanpage of HolidayCheck.com on Facebook, can also contribute to the fundraising:  for every new fan of this page, HolidayCheck will donate 0,50 € to Education Togo. The more people that are encouraged to become fans of HolidayCheck.com, the more money HolidayCheck will donate to the cause. Here to visit our Facebook page

About Education Togo
It all began when three friends got two know each other at the University of Texas, one of them is a volunteer for the United States Peace Corps and has been in Togo since 2009. During a meeting with the local chief they found out about the urgently needed school and the lack of funds to build one. The required amount was a comparatively modest 15,000€ and after a lot of brainstorming sessions, they registered a society in Austria, “Education Togo”, and kick-started their fundraising efforts. The project is supported by the local community and is supervised directly by Education Togo, since one of its members stays there full time.
