Media Analyst Pinpoints Problems with Russian Sell-off of State Media Holdings

Jan. 18, 2011 - PRLog -- "Is the Russian government trying to cash in on the sale of worthless media properties? That pointed question was asked by media business analyst William Dunkerley in his analytical report "Medvedev's Tough Sell" carried in the January 19 edition of the Moscow Times. He questions whether all of the government's media holdings actually have any commercial value. Many are losing money, he points out.

In the most recent State of the Nation address, President Dmitry Medvedev announced intentions to divest the government of its extensive media holdings.
