Hatty was crowned Open Mic UK runner up 2010 at the IndigO2 in London this weekend, in front of a packed out crowd and an array of industry and celebrity judges.
Over 9,000 acts nationwide entered the competition, and the Grand Final saw the cream of the UK’s vocal talent showcase their music in front of thousands of audience members and the judging panel. The panel included Urban DJ and Radio 1 presenter Ras Kwame, RnB star Shola Ama, Director of Baby Girl Music Michael King and singing sensation Dane Bowers.
The judges, alongside an electric audience, voted Hatty Keane as the Under 18 category winner and runner up of the competition. Chris Grayston, judge on the night and head of A&R at Future Music said: “The standard this year was fantastic, particularly among the Under 18 entrants. I am confident we have chosen the right runner up and I am looking forward to next year’s competition and working with Hatty – she has fantastic potential.”
