They were crowned Open Mic UK winners 2010 at the IndigO2 in London this weekend, in front of a packed out crowd and an array of industry and celebrity judges.
Over 9,000 acts nationwide entered the competition, and the Grand Final saw the cream of the UK’s vocal talent showcase their music in front of thousands of audience members and the judging panel. The panel included Urban DJ and Radio 1 presenter Ras Kwame, RnB star Shola Ama, Director of Baby Girl Music Michael King and singing sensation Dane Bowers.
The judges, alongside an electric audience, voted FranClassic as the winner of the competition. Chris Grayston, judge on the night and head of A&R at Future Music said:”The standard this year was fantastic. The competition has grown year-on-year, and this year was the biggest yet. The talent has improved, there have been some fantastic prizes up for grabs, invaluable development opportunities and to top it all off Grand Finalists played on stage at the best live music venue in the country, the 02 in London. I am confident we have chosen the right winner and I am looking forward to next year’s competition and working with the FranClassic boys.”
