Artist Recorded Songs During Military Tour,
Also Enjoyed Recording In Last Year Of Service In South Korea
For nearly twenty years or more, artist Ebenlo has been hard at work researching and bringing his artistic and musical vision to life. Long having musical and artistic talent, he recorded the album, “Dream Landscapes,”
Though the artist has many musical influences spanning from blues, folk, rock, pop, soul, dance, and beyond. He’s long musically admired: Bob Dylan, U2, Don Henley, Pearl Jam, Michael Jackson, Rob Thomas, David Bowie, Billy Joel, Sting, Neil Young, Tom Petty, Radiohead, and The Cure among many other guitarists, singers, and musicians. However, this, his first release, was recorded ten years ago; new listeners and longtime fans are curious to see the artist will record and release next!
Ebenlo enjoys composing songs with both electric and acoustic guitars. The guitar used on this recording is a twelve-string which was once purchased by he and his Dad as a Christmas gift for the songwriter; a guitar which the artist continues to produce acoustic tracks with.
The artist’s primary visual subject is the songwriter or musician’s portrait, and musical interpretations. He also enjoys sharing spiritually based scenes of tranquility, devotion, vocalists, guitarists, musicians, simple pleasures, messages of inspiration, family, nature, or other such personally significant subjects.
During Ebenlo’s long studies, his intense research has lead to the composing of some interesting recordings and painted works. “Would You Be Mine” features a whimsical freestyle lyric, written as a valentine, while intellectually admiring the innocent, playful mind, and contemplating it’s peculiar existence in the universe. The song “Good Night,” a couple’s favorite, was composed out loud while driving back home to base from Boise after a day of Christmas shopping for a friend. “World de Angeles” is a song influenced by his bright familial relationships written in a spirit of overcoming all odds to find true love.
The artist also recorded “Kiss The Ground Kind Of Day,” one of his rising hits, popular with soldiers, veterans, and military wives, while stationed in South Korea. The song was written on the artist’s twelve-string guitar and harmonica in a military barracks dormitory stairwell at Kunsan Air Base, Kunsan (Gunsan), in the Republic of South Korea.
Ebenlo creates art in egg tempera, watercolor, and colored pencil, the last of which he considers “wax painting,” and his latest visually composed works are completed in what the artist calls an American Neo Pop Representational/
Ebenlo is known to sing, compose, and paint from a genuine study of his subjects, always seeking to convey the real, the lovely, and in general, evoking the beauty that can be found in life. Each of his works is saturated with as much real, worthwhile experience, and true beauty as the artist can translate as he sings or paints it.
The artist is video blogging his artistic and musical journey, as well as performs and hosts concerts and other musical shares online, and is actively working to expand his performance repertoire and schedule in order to continue sharing the joy of music with avid art fans and music listeners.
