Abe Degnan of Degnan Design Builders, Inc. Wins MABA Builder of the Year

Jan. 17, 2011 - PRLog -- This year’s Madison Area Builders Association’s Builder of the Year award went to Abe Degnan, President of Degnan Design Builders, Inc.

Mike Vilstrup presented the award at the annual installation dinner where Abe Degnan was stepping down as the 2010 president of the Madison Area Builders Association and Dan Duren was installed as the new president.

In his presentation of the award, Mike recognized Abe’s involvement with the MABA, their events, and committees.  Currently, Abe serves on the Finance, Government Affairs, and Green built committees, as well as the Executive committee, Board of Directors and the Green Built Steering committee.

He was honored for his abilities as a “...mediator who encourages everyone to voice their opinions,” and for creating an “...environment where everyone can come together.” They also thanked him for his work as “...an articulate spokesman for the Association.”

Community service has always been a hallmark of Abe’s philosophy as president of Degnan Design Builders, Inc., and his service-oriented approach was also heralded by the presenter, noting how Abe served as Project Manager for the MABA’s Green built Home Makeover project.  The Association also recognized his donation of personal time to local charities, recognizing Abe’s commitment to the community.
