Jet Airways Group Chairman - Naresh Goyal was today conferred the prestigious “Hall of Fame” Award at the Hotel Investment Forum India 2011 in Mumbai. This also marks the first time that a non-hotelier was accorded the prestigious award, a departure from tradition by the Hotel Investment Forum India. The Hall of Fame Award was accorded to Naresh Goyal for his significant contributions towards taking hospitality to the skies – providing guests a truly world class onboard hospitality experience, rivaling the best 5 star comfort and service anywhere in the world and more importantly for nurturing and growing an iconic Indian service brand, into one of the premier International airlines in the world.
The award was presented to Mr. Naresh Goyal by the Honorable Minister for Tourism Kumari Selja at a glittering ceremony held in Mumbai. Naresh Goyal is the recipient of several national and international awards, including the prestigious Life Time Achievement Award for 2010 by the Travel Agents Association of India. In addition to his responsibilities at Jet Airways, he also serves on the prestigious International Air Transport Association (IATA) Board of Governors for the year 2009-2010, having earlier served on the Board from 2008 – 2009 and 2004-2006.
