Innovative Italian Classes Fill Need In San Diego North County

Jan. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- The winter Italian Language and Culture Classes offered by Italiano With Jodina are now enrolling. The winter season of Italian classes begins January 13-19, 2011. Students can enroll in the Beginning, Advanced Beginner, or Intermediate levels to learn Italian with language expert and teacher Jodina Hahn Gallo. Classes take place in Carlsbad, Vista, and Escondido, Calif., and are an effective and fun way to study one of the world’s most popular languages.

Students benefit from small class sizes and learn Italian through stories, music, dialog, and more. According to Hahn Gallo, “These Italian classes are fun, lively, and interactive. I use innovative teaching methods that encourage students to use the language in context and start speaking right from the beginning.”

Students appreciate the Italiano With Jodina class approach for the progress they make while having an enjoyable and comfortable experience learning Italian.  “I’ve taken language classes before, and never have I had as much fun as I did with Jodina!  Unlike more traditional courses, Jodina teaches “practical” Italian, imparting cultural tidbits from her years living abroad.  Her use of the text and less conventional tools like YouTube videos, proverbs, and links to Italian news articles are fun and help to expand your vocabulary in such an entertaining way that you quickly pick up new words!,” said student Elizabeth Liemandt.

Jodina Hahn Gallo offers a variety of opportunities to learn, including an Italian study and conversation group, field trips, private language lessons, and Italian Movie Nights. She is a California-credentialed teacher with over 15 years’ experience teaching foreign languages. Hahn Gallo began her teaching career in Milan, Italy, where she lived for nearly a decade. She has near-native fluency in Italian and also teaches Spanish and English as a Second Language.

Italian is the 4th most studied language in the US, and learning it is a superb way to socialize, exercise your brain, increase your CQ* (Cultural Quotient), and increase your attractiveness to both employers and travel companions.
