Chronic diseases, such as lupus, affect one in three Americans. Presented by LFM’s Vice President of Client Services Cheryl Como, MSW, LGSW, the seminar will address the importance of working in partnership with your health care team. Discussion will include proactive efforts, changing health needs, utilizing existing knowledge, strengthening coping skills and building support networks.
Prior to the seminar, at 9:00 a.m., LFM will host a breakfast planning meeting concerning the inaugural Lupus Walk for Hope and 5K Run in Duluth in September. The meetings is an opportunity to explore ways interested individual can be involved in this fundraising event, which will fund lupus research and direct client services.
