Jan. 13, 2011 - PRLog -- Hello Rose Bush – how are you feeling today? Not quite, our guest, Horticulture Therapists, Robert Bornstein explains as our featured guest on North Ohio’s WHBC 1480 Talk Radio Show, Wriggling in the Middle, on Monday, January 17 at 9:10 am (Eastern Time). Horticultural therapy is the practice of horticulture as therapy to improve human well-being. According to the American Horticultural Therapy Association, it is “a process utilizing plants and horticultural activities to improve social, educational, psychological and physical adjustment of persons thus improving their body, mind, and spirit". Robert joins us to discuss food, diet and how Plant Therapy can improve your life and especially the life of seniors.

Often age-related illnesses are based on lack of nutrition. Most diseases – cancer, diabetes, heart disease, it all goes back to nutrition. Robert shares what foods and plants benefit us the most, discusses several ‘old-fashioned’ home remedies and even touches on aromatherapy. But not only does Robert talk about the food benefits he also touches on the social benefits of growing plants and gardening among seniors.
