A contemporary classical composer and musician, Ruchman released her first CD of chamber music in October of 2009, “Sharon Ruchman Chamber Music”, and a second CD of contemporary classical compositions, “Arrival of Spring”, in November of 2010. The “Sharon Ruchman Chamber Music” features 8 compositions on 18 tracks, four of which Ruchman and Costanza recorded as duets.
For the Watermark audience, the duo performed Ruchman’s original compositions “Piece for Cello and Piano”, “Sea Glass”, “Translucence”
“This new CD,” stated Ruchman, “is different from my first chamber music CD. This one offers more of a mix of different ensembles. One is a string quartet, another is a trio, and there are duets for violin and piano and cello and piano.”
Brief portions of all of Sharon Ruchman’s classical contemporary compositions can be heard on her website, www.sharonruchman.com.
