Ingalls Qualifies for Supercross Final; Finishes 20th Overall

Jan. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- ANAHEIM, CA— Experts Exchange rider Topher Ingalls had a respectable opening to his 2011 supercross season, qualifying for the supercross lites main event and finishing 20th overall.

The new Experts Exchange-sponsored Honda CRF250R debuted in front of a sold-out crowd at Angel Stadium in Anaheim Saturday night. It was the first event in the 2011 AMA Monster Energy Supercross Series.  

Ingalls started the event well, qualifying 18th overall in practice and earning the 9th gate pick in heat #1. After a 2nd place start from the gate, he finished the heat in 5th and qualified for the supercross lites final for the evening.

Hampered by a weak start and a few technical difficulties in the main event, Ingalls finished in 20th in the official race results.

“The main event didn’t go as well as I’d hoped, but I had great heat and I walked away from the race knowing I rode my hardest,” he said. “I am going to learn what I can from this weekend and go into Phoenix better prepared.”

The 12-round championship series features the premier 450 Class with reigning AMA Supercross Series Champion Ryan Dungey. Topher Ingalls rides the Experts Exchange motorcycle in the the 250 Class, which will crown a new champion in 2011.
