Jan. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- The Advanstar Automotive Group, a leading provider of integrated media solutions to the automotive aftermarket and collision repair industry, has announced an agreement with I-CAR, the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, to produce an educational webcast for the collision repair market focused on “Hybrid Vehicles and Safe Repairs.”  The 60-minute free webcast will take place live on January 25, 2011 at 12 p.m. EST. To register visit www.abrn.com/hybrids. This webcast is sponsored by Mitchell International, a leading provider of information and workflow solutions to the Property and Casualty Claims and Automotive Collision Repair industries.

"Collision repair shop professionals need access to timely education to help keep them stay up-to-date on the latest trends,” said Michael Willins, content director, Advanstar Automotive Group. "I-CAR provides leadership in the research, development and delivery of quality, convenient, cost-effective educational programs for the collision repair inter-industry. We're excited to work with them to bring this relevant content to our readers in this convenient web format."

The editors of ABRN will collaborate with I-CAR to produce the January 25 webcast in order to help collision repair shops understand  how new hybrid vehicles function, how to properly repair them and why this information is critical to future success. The webcast will include a question and answer session for participants to interact with instructors.

"Due to the increased amount of vehicle owners driving hybrid cars, it’s more important than ever to understand the considerations around working with these vehicles. This webcast will introduce the audience to important steps needed to achieve a safe repair when working with hybrid vehicles," said Bill Stage, I-CAR director of marketing and distribution.

Registration information will be forthcoming. Those interested in participating are encouraged to sign up for news alerts to make sure they are informed when details are announced.
