Raleigh, NC – Carrie Peele, CEO of Blue Diamond Worldwide Transportation, was awarded the 2010 Women Extraordinaire Award.

Along with 15 other women business leaders in the Raleigh area, Peele was recognized for her business leadership over the previous twelve months.  The recognition was an honor for Peele.

“It was such a tremendous accolade to stand with such amazing women in our area,” said Peele.  “I am both honored and humbled by this award.”

The Women Extraordinaire Awards honor women who have made a tremendous impact in their communities.  They must be women of outstanding accomplishment, leaders in their respective fields, and an inspiration and mentor to others.  These women are committed to changing the world around them – and they started in their own hometown.

“To know that I was nominated by a professional colleague and friend is perhaps the most humbling aspect of this award,” Peele said.  “When your friends share in your journey of success, it makes the experience that much more enjoyable.  To know that they believe in you and what you can accomplish is the most gratifying part of the experience.”
