Mann Up Muzik Joins Forces With Bungalo/Universal Music Group Distribution

Jan. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- Virginia Beach, VA, January, 12, 2011 – In a move that is sure to illuminate the music world, Mann Up Muzik is joining forces with indie powerhouse, Bungalo Records and super giant, Universal Music Group Distribution to become Mann Up Muzik/Bungalo/Universal.

Established in 2005, Mann Up Muzik was founded by music industry veterans, “X” Scott and Shawn “Tamir” Wilson. With over ten years of experience in the industry, Scott and Wilson have worked in numerous fields including radio (WPGC, Washington D.C. - Big Tigger), concert promotion (Nas, Dem Franchise Boyz, Young Jezzy, Snoop Dogg, Akon, Trey Songz, Fantasia, among others), and management (Trillville, Chart topping producers, Dre & Big Boi, Roc-A-Fella Recording artist, Nicole Wray and multi-platinum producer, Nottz).

Mann Up is thrilled to announce the first release off this new joint venture will be Southern artist, Ray Lavender.  Ray began his career with international, multi platinum recording artist, AKON and even modeled for Akon's clothing line, Konvict Apparel.   Showing Ray the ropes of the music industry, Akon produced Ray's hit record, the billboard charting single, "MY GIRL GOT A GIRL."  Ray also enjoyed success as the last contestant standing on the recent television smash hit, "Donald Trump's Ultimate Merger."

Not only will Mann Up be releasing records this year, they are also venturing into the movie business. Mann Up Films plan to release a documentary based on an individual recently featured on the BET series, “American Gangster.” President of Mann Up, Shawn “Tamir” Wilson, expresses his expectations of his growing label, "We promise you that Mann Up Muzik will the next major brand", "WE'RE HERE FOREVER"!!!!
