Looking for a truck tire that looks mean but rides like a dream? Then read this.

Jan. 11, 2011 - PRLog -- So the scenario is this. You get your new truck and want to make it stand out from the crowd by installing some mean aggressive truck tires to bring that puppy to life. After dishing out $1200.00 dollars on some mud tires you leave the tire store and drive 20 miles and pull into the driveway. You get out of the truck ignoring the fact that your rear end feels like you just sat on a jack hammer for the last 30 minutes. You convince yourself that you can deal with it because your truck looks cool. 2 weeks later you really start questioning why in the heck you did this to begin with but still that ego kicks in and you deal with it. Finally 2 months later you have had enough and you put the stock tires back on and give up. Your butt is sore and your ego is crushed but you once again have a comfortable ride.

The above example is extreme but is it really? The reality is, that many people over do it on tires. There are tires on the market that look aggressive but ride much better than you would expect. Today we will cover a few of these tires to help you in your tire decision.

The first tire we are going to look at is The General Grabber AT2 All Terrain Tire. The General Grabber AT2 tire offers a special tear and chip resistant tread compound that is molded into an tough looking tread design featuring five independent rows of tread blocks that blend on the road handling with off the road traction. These tread blocks feature many specific designed traction edges and special sipes and as an added bonus are designed for metallic studs to increase winter weather traction. The tire tread block sizes and shapes have been optimized via computer to allow the tough tread pattern to remain fairly quiet and even wearing during on road and highway driving. The tire's internal design and structure includes two steel belts, some sizes are also reinforced with nylon on top of a polyester cord tire body to combine strength and durability with a very quiet ride for an aggressive all terrain tire.

Our Next tire is the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor. The Wrangler Silent Armor tires are Goodyear's top of the line On road as well as Off-Road All Terrain truck tires designed to satisfy truck drivers with the versatile on and off road capabilities. In addition to the standard duty Silent Armor tires, Goodyear also has available a heavy duty Pro Grade version for heavier duty trucks that regularly carry heavy loads. All Silent Armor tires are designed to handle extreme off road conditions. These tires also provide a smooth ride and on the road generate excellent traction in All driving conditions.

Now these are just a few tires to give you an idea. You will notice these are not mud tires but more in the All terrain tires category. We chose these two tires to highlight because they are both fairly aggressive all terrain tires that look nice on your truck and are a step up from stock while at the same time provide you with the traction, performance and most of all looks that give your truck the appeal that we consider to be a good happy medium to riding like a lumber wagon with mud tires or looking whimpy with our stock tires. Hope you agree.
