“Fill The Bowl” To Support Pet Rescue Kicks Off This Week

Jan. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- The DFW Humane Society is holding a supplies donation drive from now through Super Bowl Sunday (Feb 6th, 2011) to support pet rescue efforts. Supply donations support the on-going care of pets in the shelter or foster homes, allowing cash donations to be funneled towards veterinary bills or other shelter operations costs.

The DFW Humane Society has partnered with Pete and Mac’s Recreational Resort for Pets for donation drop off locations at both of their Dallas Area pet boarding, daycare, grooming and training facilities. Pete and Mac’s is located in Irving, on the grounds of the Las Colinas Equestrian Center at 6150 Riverside Drive; and in Plano at 3365 Premier Drive. In keeping with the football theme, Pete and Mac’s is offering 50% OFF Daycare during their Daycare Kick Off Party on Super Bowl Sunday or Boarding on Super Bowl Sunday for any pet that makes a donation during the 4 week FILL THE BOWL Supplies Drive, as well as weekly prize drawings. The number of pets in rescues is at an all time high, as the struggling economy has forced many families to surrender a pet they can no longer care for. Some families in desperate situations have even resorted to leaving their pets behind in foreclosed homes. Your small supplies donations help save these pets. “As
