Sem Link And Trackahead.com Partner To Encourage High School Students In STEM Via Social Networking

Jan. 11, 2011 - PRLog -- Science, Engineering and Mathematics Link Inc and TrackAhead LLC have partnered to create online tools to promote student achievement and career exploration in math and science for high school students. This partnership will produce a community of high schools, parents, educators and professionals to encourage high school students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and allows both organizations to expand their mission which enhances the educational experiences for high school students and prepares them for post graduation experiences. TrackAhead.com will provide resources for students about educational and career exploration tips. In order to be a part of this initiative, individuals must become member of www.TrackAhead.com and join the SEM Link community.

SEM Link is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization, founded in 2005 in Atlanta, Georgia, that promotes student achievement and career exploration in math and science for K-12 students by connecting them with individuals with backgrounds in science, engineering and mathematics. SEM Link has a two-core program model, Experimental Design Program and Math and Science Career Academy, that provide students with opportunities to develop their math and science skills by enhancing the classroom learning experience and teaching them skills that are transferable to other areas of life. Since its inception, SEM Link has enhanced educational experiences for over 1,000 Metro Atlanta youth through hands-on math and science activities, career exploration and exposure to real world applications of math and science.  In January 2010, SEM Link expanded its programs to the Bay Area to enhance the educational experiences for Bay Area youth.
