Land Rover is especially excited to release the Range Rover Evoque to dealers all over the world, including Range Rover dealers in Stamford and across Connecticut. That’s because it’s Land Rover’s lightest, most fuel-efficient car ever created.

“The groundbreaking, all-new Range Rover Evoque takes the brand into exciting new territory,” said Range Rover Global Managing Director Phil Popham in a company press release. “Highly relevant and contemporary, the Evoque will appeal to a whole new group of customers who may not have considered a Range Rover before.”

The group of customers Popham speaks of is the segment of customers who may have shied away from Land Rover in the past due to a relative lack of concern for environmental sustainability. The Range Rover Evoque changes all that- and Land Rover Darien, your Stamford Range Rover dealer, is joining the revolution!

According to the Land Rover website, the Range Rover Evoque is composed of the lightest building materials possible for an SUV. Aluminum, Magnesium and Titanium make up the metal components, making an unusually low carbon footprint, while the car also uses about 35 lb. of recycled plastic materials.

The Range Rover Evoque’s patented Electric Power-assisted Steering (EPAS) system also increases fuel efficiency by helping reduce carbon dioxide emissions and fuel consumption through eliminating excessive energy normally found in the most common power steering systems.

Finding The Pulse of The City

Land Rover recently announced an ambitious project in conjunction with the release of the hotly-anticipated 2011 Range Rover Evoque: “Pulse of the City.” An iPhone application with Android and iPad versions coming soon, “Pulse of the City” immerses the user in the city in which they journey in their new Range Rover Evoque, allowing them to record the data of their trip while creating a visualization of their journey through the city.

According to a company press release in Australia, each user, known as a “city-shaper,” can add comments on the cities and individual places within the cities, and list their favorite places to go and highlight city hot-spots. The intention is for the “pulse” of each city- and the user base of range Rover Evoques- to continue to grow and evolve.

The app is currently mostly available only in European cities, such as London, Paris, Sydney, Austrialia; Berlin, Madrid and Moscow, but New York is also part of the project. And when the Range Rover Evoque finally arrives at Land Rover Darien and other Stamford and Connecticut-area dealers, you can rest assured your new Range Rover Evoque will let you create your own pulse of the city as well!

Your Stamford Range Rover dealer is just as excited about this amazing new SUV as Land Rover is, and beginning in summer 2011 with the first shipment, we will feature this new potentially game-changing SUV on our lot n Stamford. Car buyers in Connecticut seeking a brand new Range Rover Evoque will find it at Land Rover Darien, guaranteed. Visit http://www.darienlandrover.com/ for more information.
