Jan. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- Florence, NJ -- Tex-Net, Inc., one of the nation’s most trusted producers of polyester, polypropylene nylon barrier netting for golf, sports and waste companies, marks its 25th anniversary in 2011.  John Scarperia, president of the company, said Tex-Net began by serving clients along the East Coast, and has expanded to serve golf ranges and courses across North America.  Additionally, Tex-Net has exported and installed product around the world including destinations in Western Europe, China, Russia, Israel, Australia, the Caribbean, and most recently, Argentina.

“New markets are expected in 2011,” said Scarperia, “and we continue to look for new ways and products to serve our clients.”

Attendees of the PGA Merchandise Show January 27-29 in Orlando are encouraged to stop by Booth #3131 to speak with Scarperia and his experienced team, as well as netting construction and lighting installation company personnel from McScot Golf, Inc.

Scarperia founded the company with his father in 1986, building the company to its current 20 employees during maximum production seasons. The company started with just seven machines that were originally designed to manufacture lace for the women’s intimate apparel  industry, and in 1993, Tex-Net relocated to allow the expansion and installation of an additional eight machines.  Today, Tex-Net has 22 knitting machines that produce nearly one million pounds of netting annually.

In 2010, the company introduced range lighting at the 2010 PGA Merchandise Show with Tom McClurg, president of McScot Golf, Inc.  “The response has been amazing,” said Scarperia.  “The focus on new range design and a combined lighting and netting package affords the customer big savings,” he added.

Scarperia’s team strives to deliver a great product supported by service that surpasses customers’ expectations.  In fact, throughout the past year, Tex-Net created innovating savings programs to aid the ailing economy of its customer base.  By making the key decision to forecast and order all raw materials for the year, the company was able to hold pricing steady for customers.

Proud of his company’s accomplishments, Scarperia said that for the past 15 consecutive years, Tex-Net has increased the rope edge golf net business by over almost 20% year over year.

The company now services three main markets: golf, baseball, and waste management services.  Still, the company serves diverse markets including bird control netting, high-tech fabrics, medical fabrics, truck covers, and meshes and nets of all types to countless markets including substrates for laminated fabrics including Astro Turf. The company has also produced fencing, privacy and shade cloth, and shot cloth. In fact, Tex-Net recently completed an extensive R&D project on ballistic fabrics for the skeet & clay shooting industry. Five different shot cloth installations will be completed in 2011 ranging from 35' to 75' high and 300' to 600' long on both steel and wood poles.
