Soft signage set to change the look of exhibition stands

Jan. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- Though it has been possible to print onto fabric in the past, there have been further developments in the inks that are used for this type of printing.  The fabric prints that are produced using the new inks are now much more vibrant in colour than ever before.  There have also been some developments in the type of printing technology that used to administer the inks. The inks are now able to be sublimated into the fabric using heat.

The introduction of fabric prints which are used for signage and display purposes at exhibition stands, is predicted to make a big impact on the way display stands- such as pop up stands and banner stands  will look and be transported.  

At the moment, the hard board that is often used for display purposes on exhibition stands is heavy and bulky to move around and transport. Because of this, these types of display stand are often damaged in transit. And once they have been damaged, they are irreparable and have to be replaced, which can often be a costly process.

When you use fabric banners for your exhibition stand, they can easily be folded up making it easier for them to be moved around and transported. They also take up much less space to store, so when you are moving from venue to venue instead of moving your display items in a van you can simply fold up your fabric roller banners and pack them into your car. The fabric can also be treated with flame retardant chemicals, reducing the likely hood that your beloved display will go up in flames. And fabric can also be draped and hung to create 3D exhibition structures in an exciting array of different textile types.

Finally, another advantage of soft signage as it has become known in the industry is that it can be washed easily if any marks happen to get onto it- making it a far more cost effective display solution compared to more traditional display materials.
