Titanic Museum Attraction Prepares for Fifth Annual World-Class Ice Carving Competition in Branson

Jan. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- BRANSON, MO --   Ice alert!  Titanic Museum Attraction reports a number of fantastic ice formations are taking shape—safe inside the imaginations of world-class ice carvers Titans of Ice.  The group is scheduled to compete in Titanic’s 5th Annual Chainsaw Ice Sculptors Challenge confirms John Joslyn,Titanic Museum Attraction owner.  The free event is set for Saturday, January 15, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“This exciting annual competition is one of Titanic’s most highly attended events, but our fifth-annual challenge promises to be even more spectacular,” says Joslyn.  “Kids and parents alike will be thrilled to watch artisans, armed with giant chainsaws and chisels, coax hidden beauty, drama and surprises from huge 250-pound blocks of ice.”

Come view all the action at Titanic’s outdoor staging center, where professional and amateur ice sculptors will compete for top honors and big prize money.  At 3 p.m. an official National Ice Carving Association judging panel will announce the winners and award the following:  1st Prize, $2,000; 2nd Prize, $1,500; 3rd Prize, $1,000.  Professional and amateur runner-ups will also receive prize money.
