Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue and Dirty Dogs Fundraising Event

Jan. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- Pet owners are encouraged to bring their dogs to the all day event which starts at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. This fun filled day will include the following:

Fun at the local dog park located off I-5 in the Torrey Hills area.  Champagne mimosa kickoff at 10:00 a.m. accompanied by an all day silent auction, all day U-Do-It Dog washes, We Do-It Dog washes, grooming, nail trims and more all done at Dirty Dogs (a portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue).  11:00 kicks off with John's Natural Dog Training conducting an advanced class of dog training, followed by a question and answer session open to the public.  At 1:00 p.m. Ann from Healing Hands Canine Massage will conduct a seminar on the benefits of canine massage.  The fun will keep rolling and at 2:15 professional photographer  Elizabeth from Doggy Dog Photo Studio will hold a photography pointer session.  At 3:00 the grooming staff at Dirty Dogs will give the public some tips on dog bathing, grooming, ear cleaning and other important topics.  Starting at 4:00 dogs and their owners will gather for a Yappy Hour including champagne and sparkling juice.  Last minute silent auction bids will be placed and the event will close with the winners being announced and prizes being awarded at 5:00.


As well as a chance to enjoy a fun-filled day with friends, their pets and volunteers, Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue is giving local businesses the opportunity to support SCGRR through sponsorship. About Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue
The mission of the Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue (SCGRR) is to find loving, lifetime homes for all Southern California Golden Retrievers in need, regardless of conditions or circumstances. This 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization was founded in 2007 by lifetime animal activists Stevi Martin and Barbara Gale. It is run entirely by 70 committed volunteers! In 2009 alone, the Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue found homes for 305 abandoned and homeless dogs. While we primarily serve Golden Retrievers, this rescue will also take in labs and other dogs in extreme cases.
