This year’s National Mentoring Month programs includes emphasis on local communities to energize and empower non profit mentoring organizations to expand initiatives to increase the activities geared at rebuilding family and neighborhood structure.

Mentors help build young people’s character and confidence, expand their universe and help them navigate a path to success. Three million young people have a mentor, 15 million need a caring adult mentor in their lives.
National Mentoring Month is the time each year when our nation spotlights the importance of mentors and the need for every child to have a caring adult in his or her life. When you serve as a mentor you enrich your own life as much as you do the life of a child.
Horace Dukes, Chief Executive Officer of The Dukes Foundation remarked that “Each day you live, if you have not been a blessing to someone along the way, then your whole day has been a total loss.
In life, it is never what you keep but it is always what you give that makes the difference. So in doing so, always give your very best. For you see, it’s your signature.
