Merchants Against Unfair Interchange (MAUI), enables all merchants to ensure they are paying a fair price for their processing services.  MAUI, together with Interchange Brokers has created the RateLockTM programs to stamp out price gouging practices. Merchants Against Unfair Interchange (MAUI) has created the payment industries first source of validation for fair pricing practices, RateLockTM.  RateLockTM was created to provide a level playing field for everyone involved in the pricing of merchant processing services.  MAUI provides merchants the tools and resources necessary to ensure fair pricing for a fair service.  Everything from experts on demand, full review of processing statements to processor rate negotiations we’re here for you each step of the way.

Due to the complexity of how fees for merchant accounts are calculated most merchants don’t fully understand what they will end up paying.  Additionally less scrupulous banks, processors or ISO’s use this fact to their advantage and charge the merchant more than is fair. Merchants paid over 50 Billion in Interchange fees last year, this is more than twice what was paid in late fees and three times as much as was paid in ATM fees.

Working ensure merchants have fair pricing is only the first step.  Merchants Against Unfair Interchange has also gone so far as to certify processors who have taken the MAUI Oath.  These processors are dedicated to fair pricing practices for their merchants and have hired us to prove it.  These processors are reviewed and approved after signing the Oath and reap the rewards of being known as a certified and validated processor committed to their merchants.
