Jan. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- A Manchester company has played a crucial role in ensuring medics on the front line of this winter’s Swine Flu pandemic are properly protected from the virus, it was revealed yesterday.

Carrington-based sun-to-skin care manufacturer Linco Care were  last year given an urgent contract to produce anti-Swine Flu handwash for hospitals and clinics across the UK and Europe. Extra shifts were laid-on and additional investment in plant and machinery was given the go-ahead to ensure there were no production hold-ups in the unusually large assignment, explained Linco Managing Director Mr Farhad Seka.

“We were charged with the task of manufacturing an alcohol based product that would ensure those front-line medical staff with the job of dealing with Swine flu victims were properly protected from the virus,” added Mr Seka. “This was a very large order but also a very important one, so we were determined that we would pull in whatever resources were required to get the job done on time.

“Happily we achieved our objective and the consignments were dispatched to their various destinations on time.”

The sheer size of the contract caused turnover at the company to peak by 25 per cent last year. But despite the huge workload, production of sun care and skin care brands by the firm’s 40 full time staff continued as normal.
