Follow on Google News | New art classes for 2011Youngsters aged four to six will get the chance to get creative this January, as the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery begins its new series of free art classes for 2011.
By: City & County of Swansea From this Saturday 8 January, children will be able to play with paint as experienced artist and teacher Tom Goddard leads them in a hands-on practical workshop. Tom Goddard said, “Children will use their imagination as they try different materials and tools to create a large painting. It is intended to be great fun and will allow children to experience something they will enjoy and remember”. The two workshop sessions for this age group take place on Saturday 8 and 15 January, from 10am-1pm. Children will be asked to attend both workshops. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and early booking is essential to avoid disappointment. Old clothes will be required as the sessions will involve a lot of paint. Further Saturday Morning Art Clubs will take place in February for seven to ten year olds and in March for eleven to fourteen year olds.
