The award, which can only be given to a person once, is named for Joseph Caputo, who was deeply committed to the door industry and to his community. He ran a successful business, served on DODA’s Board of Directors and volunteered much of his time to charitable organizations.
Weber began operating his family business, named for his two daughters Amy & Erin, out of his garage in May 1980. In September of 1980, the company was incorporated and moved to their first warehouse. Over the next seven years the company grew, and in 1987 moved to their current site, a 24,000 square foot facility just outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. That same year, they also purchased a building in Florence, Kentucky to further meet the demands of their growing customer base. Today, AE has nearly one hundred employees and continues to provide the best products along with the most professional installation and service possible. Bill Weber and the team at AE Door & Window have given tens of thousands of dollars and volunteer hours to charities and foundations, as they realize giving is the back bone to any community.
