Jan. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- National Eye Care Month.  How well do you see? Are you missing some important clues?
Eye care is important for everyone but, especially the mystery fan and the writer who pens those stories they love. Eye Care month prompts one to think of what every good mystery writer needs. Good eyes and good powers of observation. They go hand in hand. Missing clues might ruin an otherwise good story.
Paul Krupin of Direct Contact PR.Com announced National eye care moth as one of the focus ideas of January 2011. A perfect opportunity to remind people of the importance of regular checkups and especially mystery writers and readers.
“Red herrings disguised as important information, real clues glossed over, the discerning mystery reader is a game player, a puzzle solver. For this they need good eyes, good eye care is the key.” Says Mystery Author Billie A Williams.
It’s the writer’s job to stay one step ahead of the reader. Real crime is fascinating for mystery writers and readers alike, looking for clues not only with their minds, but with their good eye sight. Sometimes things in plain view are obscured by lack of a clear vision.
The mystery reader and writer become amateur sleuths and like Patricia Cornwell, James Patterson, Tess Gerritsen, Dean Koontz and many others, they search for missed clues. Solving the crime, even without being privy to all the forensics data or police interviews becomes focus and target of these sleuths.  Patricia Cornwell recently took on solving the identity of Jack The Ripper—did she solve the case?   You be the judge, but she says she did.
Taking care of your eyes is not only important its mandatory if you plan to see and grasp all the clues in crime or mystery—and in life.
