STbands - Sweatbands and Beyond

Jan. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- A little over 2 years ago you wouldn’t have heard or thought much of a company like STbands. Back then all they were doing was selling 8 simple designed sweatbands on their website. They began to ponder other ways to work with sweatbands. Eventually, during the companies start up, they came up with the idea to customize sweatbands for other companies.

That small idea was huge. STbands has helped the promotional efforts of at least a dozen fortune 500 companies (and counting). In 2010 the company saw that there was a demand for different colored sweatbands in the world, both on the retail and bulk level. So, in Q1 2010 they started to carry plain sweatbands for their customers to buy. They were instantly a huge hit among the websites many visitors. “We had no idea how to do the retail side of things in the beginning.” said Paul Serra, the company’s head of marketing and part owner, “We were very used to customizing sweatbands, but never really thought about selling one or two at a time.” STbands learned quick and began shipping out plain sweatbands virtually the week they started selling them.

Not too long after they got the hang of shipping out orders on a daily basis, STbands, started to ask how they could serve the people coming to their website even more. Noticing that many of the customers they were working with were athletes or engaged in physical activity, they started a health bracelets section.  This section features products with magnetic / ionic  and hologram technology built into bracelets. The brands found on the website are very reputable such as Trion:Z and EFX. Then, just on time for winter, STbands launched a winter accessories section. This section would house one product that would help touch phone users more than they could imagine.

The section is currently divided into 5 sub-product categories: gloves, hats, headbands, slippers and scarves. Let’s focus on the gloves. STbands announced that they were going to carry a very special product in late August. The product is Lycra Touch Screen Gloves. This product is highly useful if you own a capacitive touch screen and live in a cold area. Most, people do not know but normal gloves do not work with touch screens. The material simply isn’t made for it.

Touch screen gloves, just like most of the products found on STbands, solve annoying problems.
