Jan. 1, 2011 - PRLog -- Yakatoi.com wants to make 2011 the year consumers fight back and end this recession, by asking consumers “what have YOU done to stimulate the economy?”. Consumers are tired of government stimulus not working and tired of businesses not hiring. Only consumers can end this recession, by stimulating the economy through their spending.

Yakatoi.com provides a website that allows consumers to write about their feel-good purchases. These are defined as things you want, but don't need, like a Starbucks coffee. The hope is that by writing about their purchases, others will be motivated to do the same, thus creating a group effort. Consumers represent 2/3's of the economy, and working together, they can bring this recession to an end.

Yakatoi is an early stage venture started in November 2010 to address the recession. The website has documented nearly 700 feel-good purchases to date, totaling nearly $1 million. Yakatoi is asking for the publics help in ending this recession. If you'd like more information about this topic, or to schedule an interview with Matt Borack, e-mail him at matt.borack@yakatoi.com
