New members and a new year ahead makes a great start and a fresh new journey for the BrodberG BanD.

Jan. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- 2010 was a great year for the Mid-Michigan country band BrodberG. From playing three state finals with the Colgate Country Showdown and opening for artists such as the Bronk Brothers and Uncle Kracker, and even holding a successful fundraiser sponsored by themselves and other local business, this four piece power group has a lot to be thankful for and can only expect bigger and better things to happen in 2011.

Formed in the fall of 2009, BrodberG (formerly known as the Eric Jerome Brodberg Band), started out with band members Clint Dickerson on (bass guitar), Tracy Nicole Anderson on (rhythm guitar/vocals), Robb Bergey on (drums) and honorary band member Tim Ankney on (harmonica). With all of the successes that 2010 had brought the band, it also brought some changes along the way. Robb had left the band and was replaced by drummer Jimmy Pardee (formerly of Cry'n Wolf and Dewsouth). Tracy had left and was replaced by rhythm guitarist and background vocalist Jeffrey Poirier (formerly of Joe Wright and the Fall Creek Band). Tim Ankney is still an honorary band member and can be seen at almost any show that BrodberG has.

Jimmy and Eric have been invited to attend the national finals televised taping for the Colgate Country Showdown held in Nashville, TN at the Ryman Auditorium on January 13, 2011. They will also be attending the post party held after the finals at the Sheraton Hotel downtown Nashville. Jimmy Pardee tells us what this opportunity means to him. "This is a great opportunity for Eric and I to further our relationship and career with S.P.I (Special Promotions Inc.) and we're very excited to be a part of this." Jimmy's former band... Cry'n Wolf, was the host band for the contestants for the state finals for eight years straight. Now that Jimmy is part of BrodberG, he will be back at it again for as long as they hold the contracts.

Be on the look out for BrodberG's new CD coming up sometime this year. They are currently working on it and predict it should be ready for release by summer. They haven't decided on a name for the album just yet, but promise it will be a good one.
